Junior team improves at Quadrangulars

Last weekend 20 of our up and coming juniors aged from 9 to 18 years played in the Quadrangular tournament at the North Shore squash club against teams from Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty.

It  was a fantastic weekend with great parent support, all of our juniors gave it their all on the court and did Northland proud.  Although we could only manage 4th place, Northland improved on last years results and were very close to taking out a win against Waikato  narrowly going down 11 – 9.  Auckland took out the top spot for the 7th consecutive year, Northland has been included for the past 4 years.

Standout results  were from Jordyn Chapman, Freddie Jameson and Tyler Ranger with wins from all of their games.  Also for Devlin Gurr  who took  a B2 player from Auckland to five sets and Anna Moselen who got a set off an Auckland B2 player.

Flynn Venmore put on a Waikato shirt and played for their U11 boys which was appreciated by the Waikato team.
