National Junior Age Groups

Some fantastic results from our juniors at the National Age Group Juniors in Christchurch last weekend!

Northland had 14 junior players attend this tournament and 12 of them placed in the top 10 for their age groups in New Zealand with 2 podium finishes – Hayley Rhodes placing 2nd and Riley-Jack Vette-Blomquist 3rd in the Under 15 boys.   Taking out 4th places were Zoe Dykzeul in the Under 19 girls and Freddie Jameson in Under 13 boys.

Hayley Rhodes played some great squash to make the final of the Under 11 Girls where she faced  Central’s Anabel Romero-Gemmell who proved to be too strong on the day but a great effort from Hayley.

The teams event continues this week with the Northland girls seeded 3rd and the boys 9th seeds.  The girls team is Zoe Dykzeul, MacKenzie Johnson, Annmarie Holst, Iyra Stewart and Anna Moselen and the boys team is Anthony Lepper, Riley-Jack Vette-Blomquist, Shayden Toka, Devlin Gurr and Freddie Jameson.
