Four Northland junior players competed at the Oceania Junior Age Group Championships which were held in Brisbane last week with all doing extremely well. New Zealand has come home with a significant medal haul from the 2018 Oceania Junior Championships at the PCYC Centre in Brisbane claiming 7 of the 10 titles up for grabs.

The Under 13 Boys saw fellow Kiwis Tom Marshall 2nd seed and Freddie Jameson 5th seed battling it out in the finals, but Marshall was too strong for Jameson claiming the win in 4.

The Under 15 Boys saw Riley-Jack Vette-Blomquist finish with the highest placing taking 3rd in the division.

Zoe Dykzeul (4th seed) had a good win over fellow Kiwi Nadia Hubbard to reach the semi finals of the Under 19 girls division where she came across the top seed Alex Haydon from Australia.

The Trans-Tasman Junior Test Series kicks off today with Riley-Jack Vette-Blomquist playing in the U15 boys team for New Zealand.
