Northland Senior Team Named

A relatively young Northland Senior team has been named to compete at the 2019 National Inter-District team championships to be played at the new 8 court Christchurch Squash Club on 30/31 August.

The womens team sees Sacha Pou-Tito, Jacinta Matson and current No 1  Northland junior Annmarie Holst all returning  from last year’s team that placed second at the nationals.  Zoe Dykzeul, a former top junior now studying at Otago University is available to play again this year, and making her debut in the team is up and coming junior Shea Ferguson.

The mens team is led by former top NZ junior player Finn Trimble, now studying at Waikato University,  with John Kuhn, who was a very highly ranked South Africian junior currently living in Whangarei, Northland’s top junior Riley-Jack Vette-Blomquist who has recently returned from representing NZ at the World Junior Champs in Malayaia and former Northland and NZ Junior rep Max Trimble.

The Northland Womens team is seeded 4th and the mens are 6th seeds.
