Northland Secondary Schools Individual Tournament

Annmarie Holst from Otamatea College and Riley-Jack Vette-Blomquist of Whangarei Boys High are the 2018 Northland Secondary Schools Individual Champions which were held at Whangarei Squash Club on Thursday.

Over 60 players completed in the tournament with both Open and Novice draws.

Riley-Jack played Cory Ferguson (Whangarei Boys High) in the Boys Open final winning in a close 2/0.  Annmarie was up against Kamo’s Anna Moselen in the Girls Open winning her final 2/0.

Whangarei Girls High player Pippa Saunders was 3rd in the Girls Open, while her brother Ned Saunders of Whangarei Boys High took out 3rd place in the Boys Open.

Rodney College’s Grace Oldfield and Nicholas Sundvick won the Novice Girls and Boys Divisions.

The Northland Secondary Schools teams event will be held on Thursday 21 June, also being held at Whangarei Squash Club.
