Angus McDonald has been and continues to be a valued supporter and sponsor of Squash Northland. He sponsors a major Squash Northland event – the Angus Player Series – a series of 10 tournaments around Northland each season.
Angus also plays a good game of squash himself, and has this year been in the Northland Masters team which recently competed at the NZ Masters Championships in Napier. He is a very active and popular figure in squash in Northland.
He has also been involved with the NZ Deaf Squash team over recent years and is respected nationally and internationally as an advocate and role model for disabled sports people. In 2014 he finished 11th at the World Deaf Squash Association Championships in the Netherlands.
