Squash NZ Expression of Interest for the 2018 Oceania Junior Championships and Trans-Tasman Test Series Team.

The Squash New Zealand Trans-Tasman Junior Test Series Team will compete at the 2018 Oceania Junior Championships held 11th–14th January 2018, and the 2018 Trans-Tasman Test-Series Championships held 15th–16th January 2018 at Redcliffe, Brisbane, Queensland.
The Oceania Junior Championships will feature players from Australia, Malaysia, New Caledonia, China, Hong Kong and Singapore. The Squash NZ Trans-Test Junior Test Series Team will play two test matches against Australia in the hopes of claiming the Trans-Tasman title for a fourth year in a row. All players will play both players in their age group from Australia.
The Oceania Junior Championships and Trans-Tasman Test Series event is the first Squash NZ international event of 2018. These two events are a stepping stone to representing NZ at junior and senior world championships events in the future.
Squash NZ is calling for Expressions of Interest from players to compete in the following age groups:
• 2 x U/13 Girls
• 2 x U/13 Boys
• 2 x U/15 Girls
• 2 x U/15 Boys
• 2 x U/17 Girls
• 2 x U/17 Boys
• 2 x U/19 Girls
• 4 x U/19 Boys (world championship year).
The age cut-off date is the 16th of January 2018 for the Trans-Tasman Test Series.
*The higher number of boys is to provide preparation for the 2018 World Junior Men’s Championships Team to allow for increased international exposure and preparation.

Players must lodge their interest in representing New Zealand at the 2018 Oceania Junior Championships and Trans-Tasman Test Series in writing to the High-Performance Manager Shelley Kitchen at shelley@squashnz.co.nz by 5pm on 2nd October 2017.
