Junior Open Day Sunday 11 February

This will be a selection day for the Squash Northland Junior Development Squad, the Junior Representative Squad and the Northland Junior Quadrangular Team.

This will be a selection day for the Squash Northland Junior Development Squad, the Junior Representative Squad and the Northland Junior Quadrangular Team.

Junior Development Squad Selection Open morning

9am – midday at Whangarei Squash Club  

Any keen junior under 17 and D grade and below is invited to come along. The morning will be a mix of fitness, education, and match play.  The Squash Northland Development Squad is a squad of players who have been recognised as having potential to represent Northland in the future.

Junior Representative Squad Selection Open afternoon

1pm –  4pm at Whangarei Squash Club.  

Any keen junior C grade and above is invited to come along. The afternoon will be a mix of fitness, education, and match play.  Players deemed to have the ability, desire and potential to represent Northland at the National Inter-District Junior Teams Championships will be considered for Representative Squad membership.

Paul Hornsby is the Head Coach for the Open Day.  Please bring your squash gear, outdoor shoes, plenty to drink and lots of enthusiasm!

Quadrangular Team Selection

Sunday 11^th February will also be the Junior Quadrangular selection day.

If you wish to be considered for the quadrangular team you will need to pre-register by email to admin@squashnorthland.co.nz  by the 5^th February.  You will then be contacted to inform you of any play-off games that will need to be played on the 11^th February.

The 2018 Quadrangular Tournament will be held in Whangarei from the 23^rd to 25^th March.  This is a tournament held between four districts, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Auckland and Northland and includes 20 players, the top two male and female players in each age group – under 11, 13, 15, 17, and 19.
